Course Overview

The Diploma in Hospitality Management offered by IHMA is a one-year program awarded by Culinary Solutions Australia International. This course is designed to provide students with essential skills and knowledge in hospitality management. After completing the first year in Sri Lanka, students can follow pathway programs in Australia, with the option to study in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane for the second and third years. This pathway ensures students gain international exposure and experience in diverse, vibrant hospitality markets.

Course Content 

Semester One

  1. Serving non-alcoholic beverages to customers
  2. Clean the bar areas
  3. Espresso Coffee preparation and service
  4. Clean Hospitality venues
  5. Provide Table service
  6. Bar Operations
  7. Hospitality skills
  8. Plan & monitor Espresso Coffee
  9. Occupational Health & Safety in the workplace
  10. Hospitality in a Socially diverse environment
  11. Responsible service of alcohol
  12. Food Safety in the workplace
  13. Develop & maintain Menu knowledge
  14. Hygiene in the Workplace
  15. Provide & deliver hospitality service (on-the-job experience)

  • Manage customer Service
  • Deal with Conflict situations
  • Managing & Maintaining Budgets
  • Budget Preparations
  • Understanding Business law
  • Rostering staff
  • Leading and managing Staff
  • Monitor day to day operations
  • Building & Maintaining Business relations
  • Implement OHS plan
  • Provide & deliver hospitality service (on-the-job experience)
